Sara International Pvt. Ltd. (SIPL) is a diversified business conglomerate. As part of our strategic digital transformation we are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking professional to lead our Artificial Intelligence function and to drive enterprise-wide AI adoption.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Chief AI Officer (CAIO) will be responsible for defining and executing the AI strategy across Sara International and its associated entities. This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise in AI/ML, hands-on experience in ERP systems, and strong business acumen to translate AI opportunities into measurable organizational outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
AI Strategy & Vision
- Develop and lead the enterprise AI roadmap aligned with SIPL’s business objectives.
- Identify high-impact AI use cases across departments — HR, Finance, Operations, Sales, and Logistics.
- Advise senior leadership on emerging AI technologies and their potential application within the group.
AI Implementation & Operations
- Own end-to-end implementation of AI/ML models, automation tools, and intelligent systems.
- Oversee deployment, monitoring, performance tuning, and continuous improvement of AI solutions in production.
- Drive integration of AI capabilities with existing ERP platforms and enterprise systems.
- Ensure data pipelines, data quality, and governance frameworks are robust and scalable.
ERP & Systems Integration
- Collaborate with ERP teams to embed AI/ML layers within existing workflows.
- Lead process automation initiatives using AI tools in conjunction with ERP functionalities.
- Assess and recommend AI-compatible upgrades or integrations with current ERP infrastructure.
Team & Vendor Management
- Build and mentor an internal AI team; manage external technology vendors and implementation partners.
- Evaluate AI tools, platforms, and vendors; lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives.
- Establish AI Centers of Excellence (CoE) practices within the organization.
Governance, Ethics & Compliance
- Develop and enforce AI usage policies, ethical guidelines, and data privacy standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations and responsible AI principles.
- Champion AI literacy and change management across the organization.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Core AI / ML
- Proficiency in ML, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision & Generative AI
- Hands-on experience with LLMs (GPT, Gemini, Claude, LLaMA), Prompt Engineering & AI agent frameworks
Programming & Frameworks
- Python (primary), R; libraries – TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face
- Ability to review and guide AI/ML code at leadership level
Cloud AI Platforms
- AWS SageMaker, Azure AI / Azure OpenAI, or Google Vertex AI (at least one in depth)
- Experience deploying, monitoring & scaling AI models in cloud environments
Data Engineering & Analytics
- ETL pipeline design, data lakes, data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Real-time analytics & dashboarding – Power BI, Tableau; data governance & quality frameworks
ERP & Enterprise Systems Integration
- Hands-on ERP experience – SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics or equivalent
- Embedding AI/automation layers within ERP workflows for manufacturing, trading & operations
Automation & RPA
- UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate or similar RPA platforms
- Combining RPA with AI for intelligent process automation across business functions
MLOps & Model Lifecycle Management
- MLflow, Kubeflow or similar – model versioning, drift monitoring & CI/CD for ML pipelines
- Ensuring AI systems remain stable, scalable & reliable in production environments
Cybersecurity & Responsible AI
- AI security risk management, data privacy compliance (PDPB / GDPR), bias mitigation
- Drafting and enforcing AI usage policies and ethical AI governance frameworks
